The Missions Experience

Happy New Year FBC Charlotte!!  God is good and we have new opportunities to spread His word to our hungry community.  Let’s make a fresh commitment to share the gospel with the world around us. Glory to God. Praise be His name.

We are beginning a new Bible in One Year study,  This year we will be reading the entire Bible in chronological order. This is an amazing study to read the Bible as it was written a bite at a time. It will take some commitment, but we as a church will work at it together.

You can visit the website for all of  What’s Happening at FBC Charlotte. It has just been updated. You can read about and sign up for events, give tithes and offerings, and contact us.

We now have an ASL interpreter available for our second service!

Our Mission Opportunities

We have recently voted to move forward with the plan to purchase the property on Highway 97. Keep in mind, this is contingent upon an environmental study.  If there should be issues with the land, we would be able to decide to not move forward with the purchase.  If the land passed inspection we can continue with plans  and make this building our new home.

FBCC Youth News

Happy New Year, everyone! 2024 is now history, but I would like to reflect on and give thanks for the last year. In 2024 we had more students participate in events like Pre-Easter Retreat and Youth Camp than in previous years. We also had students baptized and at least one trust Christ for salvation. While attendance is not the only measure for success, I hope as more students come to church and youth events that more disciples will be made and deepen their walk with Christ. Thank you for supporting the youth last year through prayer, giving, words of encouragement, and being sponsors for events.

Our first major event of this year, Winter Retreat, is coming quickly. We will have the retreat at the William’s Ranch February 14-16 and the cost is $40 per student, 6th-12th grade. If you would be willing to make desserts or snacks for the weekend, please let me know!

A Word From Pastor Duane

Praise the Lord for an amazing 2024! God has been so good and faithful to our church. To God be the glory!

What do we mean when we say, “2025 will be better”? What it appears we mean is, we want 2025 to be without problems, challenges, and difficulties. We have been so blessed for so long that we have come to expect smooth, problem-free, times. The truth is smooth, problem-free times are not reality. And just because we have a personal relationship with Jesus, does not mean we are exempt from problems, challenges, or difficulties. So, as we begin a new year, lean heavily on the Lord, He promised His continual presence no matter what is going on in our life. Rejoice in Him, praise Him and when those problems, challenges, and difficulties arise, watch as He shows Himself faithful in the new year.

We have some wonderful opportunities to serve, grow, and trust Jesus. One thing is necessary though, commitment. Commitment to the Lord, His word, and His church. Make the commitment right now to be faithful to the Lord in worship, engage in His word with us as we read the Bible chronologically this year, give sacrificially, serve faithfully, be present and actively participate in the ministry of our church.

Thank you for your vision to move, build, and grow. Let’s work together to finish the task.

I love you all! Have a blessed 2025. Happy New Year

                              ~~ Pastor Duane
